🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1966, a witness in Belchortown, Massachusetts, reported seeing an unidentified object following a B-52. The sighting occurred shortly after sunset and lasted about 17 minutes. The object, described as dome-shaped, left a vapor trail with flickering lights in blue, yellow, and red. The witness noted that the object traveled in a straight line until it disappeared behind a mountain. Although a picture was included, the official conclusion was that there was insufficient data for evaluation.
The testimony was recorded on a detailed form by Project Blue Book, where precise information about the sighting was requested. The witness claimed the object was intensely glowing and split into two parts, one smaller. Despite the detailed description, there was no physical evidence or confirmed photographs. This case, like many others, was classified as insufficient for conclusive evaluation, reflecting the difficulty the Air Force had in identifying unconventional objects.
