🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1966, a witness in North Carolina observed a red, green, and blue aerial object that crossed the sky in about six seconds. The object appeared to be divided into three distinct sections, with the upper part red and the lower part a combination of blue and green. No sound was heard during the observation, adding to the mystery of the event. Due to the lack of additional details and the difficulty in verifying local activity, authorities concluded there was insufficient data to evaluate the case.
The report, though incomplete, shows how witnesses tried to accurately describe what they saw. The object disappeared near the horizon opposite to where it appeared, leaving no physical or photographic trace. This type of report, although inconclusive, is valuable for understanding how unidentified aerial phenomena were addressed at that time. The brevity of the sighting and the ground-based visual observation limited the possibilities for deeper analysis.
