🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1966, a police officer from Casselberry, Florida, reported observing a bright object in the sky. The witness, who worked as an industrial engineer and part-time police officer, described an object moving southwest and then returning north, while decreasing in intensity. The observation lasted about an hour, and the object was not identified as an aircraft or a common astronomical phenomenon. Despite efforts by the Air Force, no clear explanation was found.
The Air Force contacted air traffic control and the weather station, but there was no visual or radar confirmation. An air traffic controller mentioned seeing two bright stars, but these did not match the object's description. The report concluded there was insufficient data for a scientific evaluation, and the case was closed without a definitive explanation. Nonetheless, the officer's reliable testimony adds an intriguing element to this mysterious sighting.
