In February 1953, the CIA organized a meeting to brief the ONE Board on sightings of unidentified flying objects. The briefing was led by officer P. G. Strong, assisted by M. F. C. Durant. Motion pictures of sightings in Utah and Montana were shown, along with the report from the Scientific Advisory Panel on the subject. This was done as preparation for a more formal meeting requested by the ATIC. Attendees included prominent figures such as Admiral Bernhard Bieri, General Hoyt R. Vandenberg, and FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover.
The meeting reflected the growing interest of authorities in unexplained aerial phenomena. Although no definitive conclusions were reached, the event marked a milestone in the history of official UFO investigations. The presence of scientists and high-ranking military officials indicated that the topic was taken seriously. This document, though partially illegible, offers a unique insight into the CIA's approach in the 1950s toward reports of unidentified flying objects.
