🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1966, a student in Rockland Heights, New York, observed a metallic gray object moving in an unusual way. The UFO would flash on and off, without a defined flight path, and would rise and fall like a gull. The sighting lasted about two and a half minutes, but the official report concluded there was insufficient data for evaluation. The witness described white lights around the object and compared its size to half that of a normal aircraft. Despite being asked to complete a detailed form, much of the requested information was missing.
The Project 10073 report noted that the object did not exhibit conventional flight characteristics, raising doubts about its identity. The possibility of it being a gull highlighted by the setting sun was considered, but the phenomenon remained unexplained. The witness answered questions quickly and appeared intelligent, increasing the credibility of the account. However, no photos or physical evidence were obtained, and the case remains unresolved.
