🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A civilian observer reported seeing a bright silver-colored object in Columbus, Ohio, in June 1966. The object emitted a high-pitched humming sound and remained visible for three minutes, suggesting it was not a fleeting phenomenon. Although the observer described the object as large enough to hold three or four people, no physical evidence or photographs were found to support the sighting. Due to the lack of concrete data, the evaluation concluded that a definitive assessment of the object could not be made.
The report also notes that no additional witnesses or records were available in the area. Although aircraft were reported in the general direction of the sighting, it was not possible to confirm with certainty whether any of them were related to the object observed. The ambiguity of the description and the absence of physical evidence led to the case being classified as insufficient for a firm evaluation.
