🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1966, a witness in Huntington, New York, reported seeing a white, basketball-shaped object moving southward. The phenomenon was observed for five minutes before disappearing. Despite a clear description of the object, the lack of weather data, radar information, aircraft activity, and flight path details prevented a conclusive evaluation. The official response emphasized the need for more complete reports in the future, including essential data such as elevation angles and direction.
The case was archived with the conclusion that there was insufficient information to determine the object's nature. The 52nd Fighter Wing's response highlighted the importance of collecting physical evidence, detailed testimonies, and coordination with weather services. Although the report did not solve the mystery, it served as a reminder of the challenges in investigating UFO sightings without additional data.
