🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1966, a civilian in Amarillo, Texas, observed two unidentified aerial objects during a clear night. The first appeared as a bright light, similar to the North Star, and moved toward the southeast, disappearing on the other side of the sky. A second object was seen later, with similar characteristics. The observer, a student, described the objects as white, star-like, and without specific formation. The Air Force concluded it was likely a satellite, given the description and trajectory. Although there were no photos or physical evidence, the detailed report includes precise observations of time, direction, and duration.
The report, part of Project 10073, was analyzed by the Air Force, which considered possible conventional explanations. The observer mentioned having seen similar objects before, though no other reports were found in the area. Additionally, witnesses at the Amarillo Air Base confirmed seeing a falling meteorite around the same time. The Air Force thanked the observer and requested more details for a full evaluation, but no evidence of unexplained phenomena beyond the conventional was found.
