🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1966, a civilian in Mesquite, Texas, reported seeing an unidentified flying object. The sighting occurred around 2:30 PM and lasted less than two minutes. The witness observed the object from the ground and noted it was moving north. Although photographs were taken, no physical evidence was found. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base responded to the report but concluded there was insufficient data for evaluation. The witness was asked to complete additional forms to provide more details.
The official document, part of Project 10073, shows the rigorous methodology of the time for studying UFO sightings. Despite the photograph taken, investigators considered the data insufficient. This kind of case reflects the difficulty of obtaining clear information about unidentified objects. The witness's interest was appreciated, but no definitive conclusion was reached. The file, now declassified, offers a glimpse into the investigations of that era.
