🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1966, a family in York, Pennsylvania, observed an unidentified object for 25 minutes, described as a flattened triangle. The object hovered almost motionless above the trees, moved deliberately, and had glowing compartments with soft, colorful lights. Witnesses compared it to a star but noted it was much larger, like a basketball compared to a hoop. The object moved up, down, left, and right, sometimes approaching and sometimes retreating.
The witnesses, including a five-year-old child, confirmed the presence of the object for several minutes. The father and son joined the observation, and the object continued its unusual behavior. Despite no physical evidence, the witnesses' descriptions aligned, and the official report concluded the object might have been the star Arcturus, though the witnesses were unconvinced. The case was documented by the U.S. Air Force's Project 10073 as part of its investigations into unidentified aerial phenomena.
