In June 1966, three witnesses in Bergenfield, New Jersey, observed a red object moving erratically toward the northeast. The phenomenon lasted about three minutes and was described as similar to the tail light of a car. Although the observers noted its reddish color and erratic path, they could not identify its shape or obtain physical evidence. The lack of concrete data prevented a more precise evaluation. This case, like many others, reflects the difficulty researchers face in determining whether it was a natural phenomenon, an unidentified object, or an optical illusion.
