🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1966, a witness in Centerville, Ohio, observed an orange cigar-shaped object for nearly an hour. The object was moving northwest and slowly descended about 6 degrees before disappearing. According to the report, the object made no sound and no physical evidence was recorded. The witness did not use optical instruments and described the object as brighter than the stars. Although no photos were taken and no changes in shape or speed were noted, the object split into two discs before vanishing. The report includes detailed questions about weather conditions, sky position, and visual perception, but the object was not identified as a known phenomenon.
