🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1966, an officer at Fort Knox, Kentucky, reported an unidentified flying object. The information provided was insufficient for proper evaluation. The observer was asked to complete an attached form to provide more details. This case illustrates how military authorities requested additional information to investigate UFO sightings.
The interested officer was Sergeant Leonard Boehm, who was to send the form to Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio. The document, dated and signed by a major, shows the importance of gathering precise data to evaluate the phenomenon. Although the object is not described, the case reflects the routine information-gathering process during the Cold War.
