🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1966, a witness in New York observed a red object that appeared in the western sky. The object made no sound during the 3-4 minutes it was visible, which caused some confusion. Observers compared its size to that of a car, and noted that the object rose and moved northward. Although initially considered an aircraft observation, the lack of noise and visual description led to the conclusion that it was not a conventional object. The official report requested more information from the witness, but no additional data was obtained.
The report, part of the Blue Book Project, concluded that the object could have been an aircraft, but the possibility of an unidentified phenomenon was not ruled out. The object's description and behavior did not match what was expected from a conventional aircraft, leaving the door open to other interpretations. Despite the request for more details, the case was not definitively resolved.
