🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1966, a witness in Chicago observed a row of bright lights in the sky moving west to east. The most intriguing detail was that a light at the front of the line would disappear and reappear at the end a second later, before the entire group vanished. The observation lasted about 30 seconds and was made visually from the ground. Initially considered an unusual aerial phenomenon, the official response attributed the sighting to an aircraft towing an electrical advertising sign, common in the area. However, the synchronized and sudden movement of the lights remains a mystery to many UFO enthusiasts.
The Air Force concluded that the phenomenon could be explained by an advertising plane, but not everyone was convinced. The witness's account, along with weather conditions and location analysis, was carefully documented. Despite the official explanation, the case remains a topic of debate among ufologists, as other possibilities are not ruled out. The original testimony and details of the report, including drawings by the observer, are valuable for understanding how sightings were recorded in the 1960s.
