🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A civilian observer in New Haven, Connecticut, reported a silver-colored spherical object that disappeared six times behind a two-story building on July 4, 1966. The object, described as an aluminum sphere between 5 and 6 feet in diameter, was observed for 13 minutes. Despite the detailed description, the official conclusion pointed to a balloon as the most plausible explanation. The object's description and behavior generated some controversy, as it did not easily fit into conventional categories of sightings.
