🇪🇸 Ejército del Aire
On the early morning of March 25, 1975, three witnesses in Madrid observed luminous objects or points in the sky from 00:15 to 02:00. Two of them noted changes in size and lateral movement, while the third saw a flashing light that didn't move. Although witnesses sketched diagrams, these were not included in the file. An intelligence officer from the Spanish Air Force concluded that the sightings were not supernatural, attributing them to Venus and optical effects with stars. However, the lack of precise data and inconsistencies among testimonies made a conclusive analysis difficult.
The official report from the Air Force considered there was not enough evidence to classify the event as a UFO phenomenon. Observatories and air control units were consulted, but no records of abnormal activity were found. Despite the limitations of the file, the case reflects how night sightings can generate confusion and debate about their origin. The declassification of the document in 1993 confirmed there were no elements justifying a secret classification.
