🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1966, a witness on a ship in the Mediterranean Sea reported a strange phenomenon. While sailing, he observed a bright object that initially appeared like a star. The object rapidly increased in size and approached the ship at high speed. As it neared, it suddenly stopped in mid-air, maintaining its circular shape for a few moments before fading away. The observer, a ship's officer, described the event clearly and in detail. Although initially thought to be the planet Regulus, the object's behavior did not match that of a natural celestial body.
The official report concluded there was no physical evidence and no photographs were taken. However, the witness's testimony is detailed and consistent. The object caused no damage or disruption to the ship. The report is part of the Project 10073 files, a government initiative to investigate unidentified aerial phenomena.
