🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1966, a civilian in New York reported an unidentified object near First Avenue and 23rd Street. The witness, an interior decorator, described seeing a bright light in the sky. The sighting occurred at dusk, but the exact observation duration was not recorded. Although the report includes estimated direction and speed, no photos or physical evidence were obtained. The Air Force concluded there was insufficient data for evaluation but suggested city lights could be an explanation. The report was filed without further conclusions.
