🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1966, a witness in Aberdeen, South Dakota, observed several luminous objects in the sky for one and a half hours. The objects moved in various directions and displayed red and blue lights. Although initially mysterious, it was suggested that aircraft in the area could explain the sighting. The official report found no physical evidence or photographs, but notes that the observer contacted the Weather Bureau.
The report was reviewed by an Air Force officer, who concluded it was likely aircraft. However, lack of resources at the base limited a deeper investigation. Despite the conventional explanation, the case remains an example of how UFO reports are handled by authorities.
