🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1966, a witness in Westhampton Beach, New York, observed an unidentified flying object for approximately 5 to 7 minutes. The object was described as oval-shaped, tilted at a 45-degree angle, and emitting a bright orange glow. The witness saw it while driving near a Coca-Cola plant and a military housing area. Despite the detailed description, authorities concluded there was insufficient data to evaluate the case.
The response from Project Blue Book was polite but clear: the witness was asked to complete an additional form, but no definitive resolution was reached. Weather conditions were favorable for observation, with clear skies and moderate winds. Although radar sightings and interceptions were ruled out, an officer suggested it might have been a civilian aircraft operating in the area. However, the object's unusual appearance and behavior remain a mystery.
