In 1966, three witnesses in Long Beach Island, New Jersey, observed two bright objects in the eastern sky for nearly two hours. They described them as resembling aluminum pie pans with a very bright light. Although photos were taken, nothing developed. The most plausible explanation points to an astronomical observation of Venus and Jupiter, which were rising in the east and very visible. The report concludes that this was not an unexplained phenomenon.
