🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1966, a person in Perry, Georgia, observed an unidentified flying object that caught the attention of their daughter. The object appeared as a semicircle or a quarter of the moon, changed to a round shape, and disappeared in about seven minutes. No exhaust trails or conventional structures were noted, sparking curiosity. The Air Force requested more details, but no physical evidence or photographs were found. The observation occurred at night with normal weather conditions.
The official Air Force report could not identify the object and ruled out common explanations like weather balloons or aircraft. Despite investigations, no additional evidence or testimonies helped solve the case. The object was estimated to move at 10 miles per hour, making it hard to track. The Air Force thanked the observer but concluded there was insufficient information for a definitive evaluation.
