🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1966, a group of civilians in Tulsa, Oklahoma, reported seeing a bright, pulsating object moving across the sky. The classified report indicates that the object was identified as the satellite ECHO I, passing over the area around 9:00 p.m. Although witnesses described a zigzag motion, later analysis suggested this could be due to light fluctuations similar to star twinkling, influenced by weather conditions. The official USAF response confirmed that the satellite was the most plausible explanation, though the possibility of an unusual observation was not entirely dismissed.
The case was handled by Project 10073, and authorities contacted the witnesses to provide a detailed explanation. Despite no physical evidence or conclusive photographs, the analysis concluded there were no signs of an unidentified phenomenon. However, the testimony and description of the observers were considered consistent with satellite observations. This case reflects how UFO reports are often explained by known natural or technological phenomena, while always leaving room for curiosity and further investigation.
