🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1966, a couple traveling from Fort Knox, Kentucky to San Antonio, Texas, observed an unidentified object near Franklin, Texas. The U.S. Air Force report indicates that the information provided was insufficient, so the couple was asked to complete a detailed questionnaire. According to their testimony, the object appeared the size of an orange at arm's length and moved in an unusual way, approaching and retreating. Despite discussing the phenomenon with other drivers, these individuals showed no interest. The report also mentions the presence of weather balloons in the area, but no other similar sightings were reported.
The Air Force wanted more details to evaluate the incident, but the couple could not provide information about the object's altitude or other witnesses. The questionnaire included questions about weather conditions, the object's appearance, movement, color, and sound. Although the object was silent, its solidity, transparency, or luminosity could not be determined. The report concludes with no further reports or media appearances, suggesting the incident had no additional follow-up.
