🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1966, two witnesses in Machias, Maine, reported an unidentified flying object displaying intermittent red, green, and blue lights. The object was as bright as the planet Venus at its brightest and was moving northwest before changing direction and approaching the observers. Despite the detailed description, the Air Force report concluded it could be a conventional aircraft. The lack of physical evidence or reliable photographs made a more precise evaluation difficult.
