In September 1966, a pilot reported a round, bright green unidentified flying object observed from a DC-6 aircraft over the Pacific. The object was descending rapidly, then slowed down and appeared to float as if with a parachute. The sighting lasted about 30 to 40 seconds before the object disappeared into a cloud.
