🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1966, a group of witnesses in Middletown, Ohio, observed a formation of approximately 12 bright objects moving westward before turning north. The objects appeared and disappeared through clouds, described as bright as a 100-watt bulb. The observation lasted about 30 minutes, and witnesses could not identify them as birds, aircraft, or other conventional objects.
The Air Force contacted the local airbase to check for aircraft formations in the area. Two KC-135s landed at the base, but not during the sighting time. Investigators eventually concluded the objects could have been birds, though the description didn't fully match. The case was closed due to insufficient data for a definitive evaluation.
