🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1966, a military observer reported a white object the size of a pea crossing the sky for nine minutes. The object showed no maneuvers and maintained a flat trajectory heading north. Since the ECHO II satellite was over the area at the time, it was concluded to be likely that. However, the flat trajectory and direction of movement led to the consideration of a UFO possibility.
The report, marked unclassified, includes details on the visual observation, the exact location in the Pacific, and the time of the sighting. Although the possibility of an aircraft or rocket was ruled out, the report did not completely dismiss the UFO hypothesis. The naval message indicates the sighting was considered "highly reliable," adding intrigue to this case.
