🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1966, a witness in Minneapolis, Minnesota, observed an unidentified object that remained in the air for about 30 seconds. The object, described as a bright white and silent, rose about 30 feet from the ground and disappeared to the northeast. It was estimated to be about 5 feet in diameter and 10 feet in height, resembling a coin. The photograph of the event was analyzed, and it was suggested that it could be a reflection of an interior light captured from inside a house. However, the witness insisted it was not an airplane or any conventional object.
The official Air Force report concluded there was insufficient evidence to identify the object, although photographic manipulation was ruled out. The witness, a civilian, provided additional details, including the exact location and description of the object's shape. Despite initial doubts, they were asked to send the original negative for further analysis. The case was archived without a definitive resolution, but remains an interesting example of how UFO reports were handled in the 1960s.
