🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1966, a witness in Westhampton, New York, repeatedly observed a luminous object in the night sky. This object displayed white, red, and green colors and remained suspended for long periods before disappearing. On one occasion, the witness saw a white object that collided with a red one, causing the latter to veer northward. Despite multiple observations, authorities could not definitively identify the phenomenon, suggesting it might be an aircraft or a star, though the behavior was unusual.
The report includes detailed accounts from several days, describing lights moving at high speed and appearing to rotate. The witness, who had experience spotting planes, claimed he had never seen anything like it. Authorities from Project Blue Book contacted the witness for more information but could not reach a definitive conclusion. This case exemplifies how UFO reports are often attributed to natural phenomena or conventional objects, although doubts remain.
