Double UFO in Long Island 1966

Summary

In October 1966, two witnesses in Bellport, Long Island, observed two luminous objects in the sky. One was in the east and the other in the west. The objects displayed flashing white, red, and green lights and remained visible throughout the observation. One of the witnesses claimed to have been personally contacted by one of the objects. When questioned, he pointed out the star Capella as the object he had been watching for several nights.

The description of the objects is consistent with an astronomical observation. Capella, a bright star, was identified as one of the objects seen. The other light could have been Arcturus, another well-known star. Although initially considered unusual, the investigation concluded that it was a legitimate astronomical identification.
