Summary

In October 1966, a witness in Brentwood, Long Island, observed an unidentified oval-shaped object with a yellow color in the western sky. The object remained stationary until a cloud covered it, at which point a bright blue-white light was seen moving rapidly eastward. Initially, its speed was compared to that of an aircraft, but it suddenly accelerated at the end of the sighting. The witness took photographs and claimed to send them to the U.S. Air Force for analysis. However, upon reviewing the photos, he noticed three additional objects that he had not seen during the observation, causing confusion. The official conclusion was that there was insufficient data for evaluation, and the photos were never received for analysis.

The technical report details that the witness used a Yashica camera with a telephoto lens and Kodak film, but the excessive development time might have altered the perception of the objects. Analysts concluded the images showed stars and no evidence of intentional fraud. Despite the ambiguity, the testimony and photos generated interest, especially due to the discrepancy between what was observed and what was captured in the images. The case remains one of many in UFO history that could not be resolved with certainty.
