🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
On October 25, 1966, a civilian observer in Centerville, Ohio, spotted an object moving in a zigzag pattern toward the east. The report describes a bright object exhibiting unusual behavior, zigzagging and maintaining a clear course. Initially thought to be a star, the object's movement clearly distinguished it from known celestial bodies. The weather conditions were partly cloudy, and no physical evidence or photographs were recorded. The observer noted the object was brighter than the brightest stars and had a well-defined outline. Despite the detailed description, the official conclusion pointed to Capella, a star, as an explanation, though the possibility of an unidentified aerial phenomenon was not ruled out.
