🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1966, a man from St. Louis, Missouri, captured a series of images with his camera, believing he had photographed an unidentified object. The images, taken between 23:00 and 23:30 on October 29, included exposures of 3, 5, 10, and 15 minutes. Initially thought to be Jupiter, the images were sent to the Air Force for further analysis. The investigation revealed that several images showed linear patterns similar to smoke or exhaust trails, possibly from a light source or even a failed skywriting attempt. Despite the efforts, a definitive identification of the object was not achieved.
