In November 1966, two witnesses in Duluth, Minnesota, reported a luminous object in the sky. The object appeared as a yellowish-white star, remaining stationary for most of the observation. Despite the moonlight obscuring other stars, the object did not disappear and gradually moved southward. Witnesses observed it for nearly two hours using an eight-power telescope. The description aligned with an astronomical observation, but its erratic movement and duration raised curiosity. The official report linked it to the star Rigel, though other explanations were not ruled out.
