🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1966, an 11-year-old student in Magnolia, New Jersey, reported a bright oblong object that disappeared behind a cloud. The witness described a humming sound and compared the light to a car headlight six blocks away. Although the boy insisted it was just a car light, his father remained uncertain. The report contains conflicting data: the duration of the sighting ranges from 15 minutes to over an hour, and there are inconsistencies in the time zone. The case was labeled "confusing" by Project 10073.
The ambiguity of the data and conflicting accounts between witnesses and documents made evaluation difficult. The boy completed a detailed questionnaire, including visual and auditory descriptions, but the officer in charge concluded the information was insufficient for a conclusive evaluation. The case highlights how detailed reports from children, while informative, can be hard to verify without physical or photographic evidence.
