🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1966, a witness in Dayton, Ohio, observed a bright blue object moving rapidly toward the southeast. The object, described as a glowing light similar to an electric arc, was seen for a few minutes before disappearing quickly. Initially thought to be an aircraft, its behavior and speed ruled out that possibility. The Air Force considered it an astronomical phenomenon, possibly a meteor, though other explanations were not entirely dismissed.
The report details the visual observation by the witness, who noted that the object did not approach the ground and moved in a straight line at high speed. Despite contacting Wright-Patterson Air Force Base to check for any aircraft in the area, no match was found. The object's description and unusual behavior generated some uncertainty, but it was ultimately concluded to be a natural phenomenon.
