🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A witness in San Angelo, Texas, reported in 1966 seeing a bright orange object resembling the sun on the horizon. The object appeared suddenly and vanished in a flash toward the southwest. The husband of the observer questioned the report, suggesting it might be due to alcohol consumption. Despite doubts, the description matched a common astronomical observation, such as a meteor. The official investigation noted no physical or photographic evidence to support the presence of an unidentified object.
