🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A 1966 UFO report describes a multicolored object seen over Canton, Ohio. The witness observed a fuzzy, ragged light in the eastern sky, displaying colors like pink, blue, green, and white. The object moved slowly southward, remaining visible for two hours without disappearing. This suggests a stable trajectory. The description aligns with astronomical effects, such as the refraction of stars near the horizon.
The investigation concluded the phenomenon could be explained by observing the star Sirius, which was at an elevation of about 22 degrees and an azimuth of 154 degrees. Starlight can create unusual visual displays due to atmospheric conditions. Despite the clear report, no photographs were taken and no physical evidence was found. The case was archived as a normal astronomical phenomenon.
