🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1966, a witness in Bear Mountain State Park, New York, captured images of an unidentified object that appeared as an elongated body with a hump on top. The photos, taken at dusk, showed an object ranging in color from golden to brown, with an estimated diameter of up to three feet. Although initial evaluations suggested it might be a hoax, a more detailed analysis by photo experts concluded there was no evidence of manipulation. The object remained visible for five to seven seconds before disappearing behind an observation tower. The witness, considered reliable, used a camera without adjustable focus lenses, complicating the precise determination of the object's size and distance.
The Air Force reviewed the images and concluded that no clear explanation could be provided. Despite the lack of a definitive answer, analysts ruled out the possibility of a fake. The report noted that the object had a flat appearance with an elevated structure and its movement was unclear due to the slight blurriness in the photos. The case was filed without a definitive resolution, but the images and the witness's testimony remain an unresolved mystery in UFO history.
