🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A 1967 report describes an unidentified flying object observed over Colorado Springs, Colorado. The sighting, dated January 4, 1967, mentions that the object looked like a large sheet of plywood with a dome and was three times the size of a house. A witness saw it overhead at about 58 feet in altitude, describing it as slowly moving south with a tilt similar to a helicopter. The object hovered for three minutes before disappearing behind a house.
The Air Force responded that they lacked sufficient data for a scientific evaluation and asked the witness to complete an additional form. Despite efforts to contact others, no further reports or physical evidence were received. The case was filed as insufficient for evaluation, but it remains an example of how UFO sightings were documented in the 1960s.
