White UFO sighted in Austin, Texas

Summary

In January 1967, two witnesses in Austin, Texas, reported a white object that shimmered like a star and moved straight south. The object appeared to flicker, and just before it disappeared, it seemed to slow down and bob. The observation lasted a few minutes and ended suddenly with the object vanishing. The Air Force concluded the phenomenon could be linked to the satellite Echo II, which was in the area around the time of the sighting.
