UFO triangular sighted in Missouri and California

Summary

In January 1967, two hunters in Missouri observed a triangular object with multicolored lights moving in an unusual way. The witnesses, Raymond Barbour and Robert Crawford, described white, green, red, and blue lights blinking rapidly, similar to Christmas tree lights. The object changed direction toward the north and disappeared. Initially thought to be an aircraft, the witnesses noted it moved too slowly for a jet and too fast for a helicopter. Whiteman Air Force Base explained that aircraft lights, especially strobe lights, can create similar optical illusions. However, the observers couldn't determine the exact size or shape of the object, adding mystery to the incident.
