Red UFO seen over Corpus Christi

Summary

A witness in Corpus Christi, Texas, spotted a red, round object the size of a nickel in early 1967. The object appeared at dusk and moved in an arc from north to south for 30 seconds before disappearing on the horizon. The report, submitted by a retired army civilian, noted no sound or trail from the object.

Laredo Air Force Base concluded it was an aircraft, as the area had heavy air traffic around the Corpus Christi Naval Air Base. No physical evidence or photographs were found, and the report found no convincing alternative explanations.
