Summary

In February 1967, a luminous object was seen in the sky above Worland, Wyoming. Witnesses, including two airline pilots, described a ball of light in an orange-yellow hue, the size of an orange at arm's length. The object appeared to have a reflective canopy of light above it and was moving in the northern sky. The observation lasted about 12 minutes and generated multiple reports.

An additional report revealed that a local teenager had launched several hot air balloons with candles, which could explain the observed light. However, witnesses did not identify the object as one of those balloons. The official investigation concluded there was no conclusive physical evidence, and the phenomenon was considered possibly linked to hot air balloon experiments. Despite this, the case remains a mystery to many.
