🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1967, a witness in Grand Rapids, Michigan, observed several luminous objects shaped like footballs. The witness described the objects as emitting a soft white glow and being about the size of a football. They moved in a rigid pattern and produced a high-pitched chirping sound. The sighting lasted about 10 seconds before the objects disappeared behind a house. Although the report was reviewed by experts, no clear conclusion was reached about the nature of the objects due to the lack of additional evidence and the fact that there was only one witness.
The report includes details such as the exact location, the description of the shape and color of the objects, and the witness's reaction to seeing them. It was noted that the objects did not exhibit characteristics of conventional aircraft or other known phenomena. However, investigators suggested it could have been an optical illusion or a misinterpretation of common objects, such as nocturnal birds or reflections on power lines. Despite the clear description from the witness, the case was classified as unidentified due to the lack of additional data and the inability to verify the sighting with other witnesses.
