🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1967, personnel at Glasgow Air Force Base in Montana reported an unidentified flying object (UFO). Two groups of observers, each with two members, saw what they described as flashing red, white, and blue lights. One object was seen for a few minutes, while another remained visible for nearly two hours. A radar system (MG-13) detected the first object, but the second did not appear on the radar screen due to technical limitations. The reports are contradictory, as the observers gave different dates for the sighting and failed to clarify details when asked. The lack of precise information and confusion among witnesses made it difficult for military authorities to evaluate the case.
The official report concluded that there was insufficient data to assess the radar sighting, and the visual reports were inconsistent. Despite efforts to obtain more details, the observers could not provide clear answers, leading to the case being classified as "insufficient for analysis." This incident highlights the challenges faced by military authorities in investigating UFO reports, especially when witnesses disagree or cannot provide coherent information.
