🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A witness in Osceola, Arkansas, reported a bright light that initially appeared stationary but then moved southward. The light was compared to a white light on a pole about a mile away and was brighter than Venus, the brightest planet in the early evening sky. The report suggests the object could have been a KC-135, a refueling aircraft that departed from Blytheville Air Force Base around the same time. This aircraft is equipped with powerful floodlights that illuminate the wings and can appear as bright lights from a distance.
The report notes that the observer, although credible, had difficulty describing the object and its movement. Additionally, no other sightings had been recorded in the area, making this case particularly intriguing. Ultimately, the most logical explanation is that the observer saw the lights of the KC-135, which had previously caused similar reports.
