🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1967, a family in Louisville, Kentucky, observed a glowing object with an unusual color traveling in a straight path. The witness, who had three years of experience in the Air Force, described a bright light ranging from reddish on the edges to a yellowish white in the center, with no navigation lights. The object, according to the report, was dropping flaming material, which raised concerns of an imminent explosion. After the incident, the object darkened and changed direction, with no other witnesses noticing it.
A call to the police and air traffic control yielded no results, and it was concluded that the object was not a conventional aircraft. The official report classified it as a hot air balloon, but the detailed account and conflicting observations suggest an experience that doesn't easily fit conventional explanations.
